Tamoha has organised Awareness Generation Camp in the area of West
Delhi with the grant support of Delhi Social Welfare Board to empower
the women in education, health, food & nutrition, legal rights, income
generation activities, prevent female feticide & micro savings &
credit practice. It has been targeted that literacy percentage of 47 %
will improve to 100%, each women has to save al least Rs. 2 per day,
100 % prevention of female feticide, per capita income of Rs. 50 per
day will improve to at least Rs. 200 per day and no violence will be
tolerated against any woman.
Ministry of Environment & Forest, Govt. of India
Organisation with support of Indian Environmental Society the RRA for
MOEF, Govt of India organised one week NEAC program in the area of
west Delhi. The expert resource persons from the various institutions
motivated the community for good practice to save environment from the
Climate Change due to global warming generated by the various types of
pollution. The Workshops has been also organised in the community to
aware with the innovative ideas for the sustainable approach for the
human friendly environment.
Development Commissioner, Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises
(Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Govt. of India)
Organisation with support of the office of Development Commissioner,
MSME organised Industrial Motivation Campaign with demonstration in
the area of west Delhi for the Entrepreneurship Development among the
Youth. The expert resource persons explained thir ideas & Govt schemes
for the welfare of the entrepreneurs. One demonstration for the
manufacturing of washing powder was also given during the campaign.
The DD MSME assured to start the various types of training in near by
areas for the beneficiaries in near future.
Centre for Entrepreneurship Development for Women, Priority Credit Wing
(Canara Bank, a Govt. of India Enterprises)
Organisation with support of Canera Bank CED Cell for Women has
organised Soft Toys Training Programm for the women of economical
weaker sections to train them the making of soft toys & to generate
the market for their economic strength. The Chief Manager Nazafgadh
Canara bank also participated and motivated the women trainees for
economical empowerment.
Food & Nutrition Board
(Ministry of Women & Child Development, Govt. of India)
Organisation with support of the board has organised 2 one week
training camp for the SC/ST women of the area for food preservation &
preparation of nutritious foods. The expert trainer from the board
trained them for the best output. Book for preparation of nutritious
foods & Rs. 100 as stipend has been distributed to the beneficiaries.
The certificates were also given to them. One award was also given to
the project officer of Tamoha for its best efforts made for the
upliftment of society especially for women empowerment practice.
National Book Trust of India
(Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India)
NBT the central govt. institution has supported to the organisation by
providing books for the library run for the benefit of community to
enhance the knowledge in various fields. The trust also made available
their mobile book exhibition van at the premisses of the workshop
organised for Book Promotion by Tamoha.
Development Commissioner Handicrafts
(Ministry of Art & Handicrafts, Govt. of India)
With the invitation of DCH, Tamoha participated in the workshop at
NCUI Agast Kranti Marg for the promotion of art & handicrafts. The
expert resource persons from DKVB, SIDBI, NABARD, Fevicol,
nationalised banks & Organisatios working for the beneficiaries
presented their ideas to enhance the capability & growth for the art &
handicrafts.
Department of Training & Technical Education (Govt. of NCT of Delhi)
Capacity building initiative has been taken on regularly basis from
last 2 years with the grant support of DTTE. The beneficiaries from
the economically weaker section trained by the instructors in regular
theory & practical classes they get appeared in the exam conducted by
the DTTE at any ITI & awarded the SCVT certificate from DTTE. Within
the training period they are getting the practical job experience in
any private or public institution for 15 days. After completing the
course most of them get employed with the various private & Govt.
institutions few of them also started their own business with the help
of financial institutions.
District Leprosy Mission (Ministry of Health, Govt. of NCT of Delhi)
As Leprosy is a big challenge for the society the organisation in
association with the district leprosy mission district west organised
training for community leaders in the various areas for awareness
generation & precaution measures.
